You sit there on stage. Doing the BEAT .... but mostly the Bass Player --- telling me to listen to Bootsy Collins, James Brown & the Tower of Power, a local band..... Yep. "Everyone go on get dancing" ......

Did they teach you how to dance? One of my more valuable life lessons ever was going to a community dance in rural Belize with a local black friend. I taugjt.him how to.waltz and he taught me how to "shake my butt like a black man". I'm not sure I mastered it but it was a big push in the right direction.

When I was 19 I auditioned for a soul band didnt know really what soul music was. Funny, I walked into a room and everyone was black except the white kid from across the tracks. I learned so much about the groove.
.... and why white people should never, never ever dance to "Brick House" it's embarrasing. Yes, another Brick.
