Another song where someone was just noodling around and came up with a hit! R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck wrote the main riff and chorus to the song on a mandolin while watching television one day. Buck had just bought the instrument and was attempting to learn how to play it, recording the music as he practiced. Buck said that "when I listened back to it the next day, there was a bunch of stuff that was really just me learning how to play mandolin, and then there's what became 'Losing My Religion', and then a whole bunch more of me learning to play the mandolin. Lucky guy he was.

I see Jason is adding a track.. The little dee dah dee dah dah dah dah dah dah....I'm going to add electric uke to the stumming (sounds like a mandolin) and will give it that twangy higher pitched string sound.

You guys need a good acoustic guitar on this one because it sounds great so far.I can throw the lead in but my pedal will not produce a proper clean strum :(

Hi Brian, can you ask them? I don't know them and it would be great for one of them to join. We do need that acoustic guitar...actually Mandolin is there which I am going to fill with my electric uke.

Hi Jay. I did a bass track but it seems that there is a lag. (At the moment, there is a lag for me.) You may have to move the other tracks ahead a bit to make it in sync unless there is another way that I may not know about. Or maybe the BT needs to start at 0?

Ok I will check it out. I can easily push things back by 1 second. There is a new button to do that now when you record in the Interface
