Interesting story: In high school, the best singer in school asked me to accompany her on piano for the talent show doing this song. I absolutely had to have sheet music to do it, so we ordered it. It came in, I practiced it, and invited her over to rehearse, which was a disaster because she, of course, needed Linda Rondstadt's key, not Don Henley's. Thank goodness my older brother with perfect pitch was able to transpose it for me. She won.
