The opening salvo of the greatest Rolling Stones album of them all! And the first public declaration of my two year plan to cover every song on Exile On Main Street in time for the 50-year anniversary of this blues rock tour de force.
This is just a rollicking good time - boogie woogie with a driving rock downbeat. Rhythm somehow soulfully loose and very tight at the same time. Honkytonk piano stylings. Weaving guitars. A chorus to make your Sunday school teacher blush. A cast of thousands on backing vocals. And horns!
The rules of the contest are we've got not quite ten days to do thus. So let's rock straight away. I hope you will answer the call.

airedale I just love your piano track so much! It's a lot of fun to listen to and/because it sounds like it was a lot of fun to play. :-)
Ever since I first heard this album back in the Devonian era I thought the lyric was, "...Is it chicken out for sure?..."
Turns out it's actually, "Is he checking out for sure?"
I kind of like it better the other way. ;-)
